Dear colleagues,
We would like to inform you that we have been asked by the Society of Cardiac Computed Tomography (SCCT) to initiate a Middle East
Regional Committee. The committee will include fellow colleagues from the following countries: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bahrain, Egypt, Iran, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Syria, Turkey, Turkmenistan, United Arab Emirates, Yemen and Pakistan.
We will function in accordance with the governance laws and aims of the SCCT while focusing on the region’s interests also. These interests include spreading the knowledge pertinent to utilizing this technology, addressing pressing reimbursement issues and radiation safety concerns, and establishing a network for exchange of experience and scientific exploration of the horizons this technology offers through holding training courses and a Cardiac CT conference. These activities will be conducted in association with SCCT to ensure the highest standards.
An Advisory Committee has been formed and is guiding on how to advance in our work. As an early notice, we would like to inform you that we are working towards holding a scientific meeting at Beirut, Lebanon this coming March 26th 2010. We will certainly provide all the details once ready.
